Used: long commute, CTA, iPad, Apple Pencil, Adobe Draw.
I picked up a habit of killing time on the train with doodling (This post has a couple of doodles finished not on the train though).
I've decided to update my logo illustrating these characters and adding some color (since it's been so official for years). I am not sure if this is a final design plus I want to animate it in the future, but I also wanted to see if it'll stick with me so I'm posting it now.
Let's see how it goes then...
I haven't posted in a while being wrapped up in work so it was a great pleasure to finally sit down (more specifically, lie down on the couch conveniently having iPad on my lap like a regular sketchbook) and illustrate something for myself. As skeptical and unsuccessful as I was about drawing something more than one line drawings with Apple Pencil before this time around surprised me in what I could get out of it (and I've seen people amazing things with it, too!)
Adobe Draw also had surprised me with its features, for example, there is color history in color options, which makes it all much easier since there is no color picker, it seems. And you can always export a time-lapse of the process without doing any extra steps (I have mine below)!
I hope there is still much to discover, so I'll be illustrating on mobile more! (It's not as fun as it seems when shaking on the subway, but it works just fine for the sketching stage:)
A screen shot showing the basic options in Adobe Draw. And it's pretty convenient once you learn to get around.
